VISA & RESIDENCY

FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

ACS College of Malta warmly welcomes international students from all over the world.
We are committed to supporting our students at every stage of their academic and personal journey in Malta, ensuring a smooth transition and full compliance with local regulations.

Eligibility for Visa and Residence Permit

Enrolment in any degree program offered by ACS College of Malta makes students eligible to apply for a Maltese Student Visa and Residence Permit. These authorizations allow international students to reside legally in Malta for the full duration of their studies. The visa and residence permit are issued by Identity Malta, the national authority responsible for residence and citizenship matters. Upon successful enrolment, ACS College will issue all the necessary supporting documentation required for your visa and residence permit application, including proof of admission and confirmation of academic status.

Right to Work While Studying

International students holding a valid Maltese Student Visa are permitted to work part-time for up to 20 hours per week during their period of study. This opportunity allows students to gain valuable professional experience, supplement their living expenses, and integrate more deeply into Maltese life and culture. Please note that employment is subject to compliance with Maltese employment and immigration regulations. Students are advised to ensure that any part-time work is properly registered and in accordance with the conditions of their residence permit.

Support from the ACS College Student Department

Our Student Services Department provides personalized assistance to all international students throughout the visa and residency process.  The team will:

  • Offer detailed guidance on visa and residence permit requirements;
  • Assist in preparing and submitting all necessary forms and supporting documents;
  • Coordinate with the relevant Maltese authorities when needed;
  • Provide assistance with residence permit renewals during your course of study.

We strongly recommend beginning the visa application process well in advance of your planned arrival in Malta to allow sufficient time for processing.

Ongoing Support

Throughout your time at ACS College, our Student Services team remains available to provide guidance on residency renewals, compliance with immigration rules, and any changes in your personal or academic circumstances that may affect your status.
Our goal is to ensure that every international student enjoys a secure, legally compliant, and enriching experience while studying and living in Malta.
