Bachelor of Science (Hons) Product Design 180 ECTS

The degree course Bachelor of Science in Product Design consists of three academic years for a total of 180 ECTS. This degree course results from the experience and expertise of a network of designers, architects and academics who have structured a course capable of bringing together the most practical and pragmatic elements of design with an academic teaching profile meeting the highest international standards.

Students will have access to cutting-edge tools and methodologies that will prepare them for the current demanding labour market which requires the necessary skills aimed for recognising and anticipating trends, putting technology at the disposal of creativity, and providing solutions to companies to make their products effective and appealing.

In fact, a designer must think on, create, and realise the design of a product while optimising production lines and addeding value for the company.

The students will also have access to professional internships within companies from the first year. Besides, at the end of their degree course, the students will be able to develop a project in collaboration with the network of partner companies of ACS – Asomi College of Sciences.

The internships can take place in different locations between Malta, Italy, Europe and Asia. Graduates in Product Design will have access to several masterʼs degree programs such as Luxury Design, Fashion Design, UI-UX and Interaction Design. For those interested in entrepreneurship and management can consider attending an MBA – Master of Business Administration.
